Bayer Texin and Desmopan

Texin® and Desmopan® resins are thermoplastic polyurethanes (TPU) based on polyesters, polyethers, special copolymers, and blends of polyurethane and polycarbonate. These matierals exhibit high elasticity and resilience, excellent abrasion resistance, high tensile and tear strength, and are available in unreinforced general-purpose grades of various hardness and durability. Texin and Desmopan TPU can be used in a broad range of applications, including automotive instrument panels, caster wheels, power tools, sporting goods, medical devices, and a variety of extruded film, sheet and profile applications.
